Cleaning Operative - Flora Stevenson Primary School

Salary: £26,205 - £26,525 (pro rated for part time and sessional).

Hours: 12.5 per week, 40 week sessional. Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm - 6 pm.

Responsibilities

Major tasks and job activities include:

• Empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings across a group of buildings.
• Clean all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and replenish washroom consumables.
• Provide emergency and re active cleaning (e.g., graffiti removal, body fluid or accidental spillages).
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment used for the duties.
• Support cleaning tasks in other buildings as required.
• Deliver to the cleaning specification requirements and cooperate with performance measurement to meet agreed standards.
• Act as a key holder for opening and closing buildings, operate security alarm systems, lock windows/doors, switch off lights and ensure premises are secure.

Qualifications and Required Checks

• Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• Must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check required if spent continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
• Successful completion of both pre employment checks is required for unconditional offer and commencement.
