Cleaner (Temp)

Location: Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk, YO7 3EY

Pay: £12.71 per hour (£13,263.65 per annum)

Contract type: Temporary, maternity cover from Jul 2026 to Jul 2027, 20 hours/week

Shift times: Mon-Fri, flexible to fit within school hours

Job Title: Cleaner/Housekeeper

What you'll do:

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning in the Warrant Officers' & Sergeant's Mess
• Work independently, occasionally as part of a team, ensuring all daily tasks are covered
• Perform general ablution and kitchen cleaning, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, waste disposal, including waste segregation; make up bedrooms for guests
• Report hazards and check equipment, notifying management of any issues

What we're looking for:

• Previous cleaning experience desirable, full training provided in house
• Eligibility to work in the UK and residence for longer than 3 years; security checks required
• Reliable mode of transport due to site location and limited public transport
