About Us

At Elangeni, we are committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. We provide a stimulating and supportive environment where pupils develop a genuine love of learning and where every voice is valued. Our mission is to nurture a love of learning that excites and empowers. By the time pupils leave us, we want them to stand tall-academically prepared, emotionally strong, happy and resilient young people, ready to step forward and shape the next stage of their educational path.

Our warm, caring school culture is built on collaboration, positivity, and high aspirations. Staff work closely together to create an inclusive, friendly atmosphere that supports both individual and shared success. We believe everyone plays a vital role in shaping a strong learning community, and we look forward to welcoming a teacher who shares these values.

Teachers at Elangeni plan purposeful, challenging, and enjoyable activities that give pupils rich learning experiences-academic, social, and emotional. We value strong partnerships with parents and work closely with families to ensure each child thrives throughout their time with us.

About You

We are seeking a qualified teacher with a genuine passion for primary education, particularly within Upper Key Stage 2. Whether you are at the start of your teaching journey or an experienced practitioner, we would love to learn how your strengths could enrich our school community.

You will bring enthusiasm, high expectations, and a commitment to delivering excellent teaching. You will value teamwork, enjoy contributing to a positive school culture, and be dedicated to supporting every child to succeed-regardless of background or ability.

Legal and Disclosure Requirements

At Elangeni we believe that a policy on child protection is founded on the right of all children to be safe and feel safe, and that it is the fundamental obligation on all schools to robustly secure this right.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare:

  • All unspent convictions and conditional cautions
  • All spent convictions and adult cautions that are not protected (i.e. that are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020).

For further information on filtering please refer to Nacro guidance and the guidance issued by the Ministry of Justice (see, in particular, the section titled 'Exceptions Order').

It is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. All shortlisted applicants will be required to complete self-disclosure form and return prior to interview.
