Aspire People are looking to recruit a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to support primary and SEN school settings across Middleton.

Role

This is a class-based position working with pupils across a range of year groups, with a strong focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Delivering targeted support to pupils with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs
• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning and support plans
• Providing 1:1 support and leading small group interventions where required
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion within the classroom environment

Requirements

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
• Previous experience working in a school-based TA role
• Strong SEN experience is essential
• Confidence supporting pupils across different primary age groups
• A flexible, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning

Desirable

• Experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and intervention delivery
• Team Teach or equivalent training (beneficial but not essential)
