Teaching Assistant (Class-Based) - Primary / SEN Schools

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work across primary and SEN school settings in Bury.

This is a class-based role supporting pupils across a range of year groups, with a strong focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver individual support plans
• Leading small group interventions and offering 1:1 support where required
• Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion within the classroom

Requirements:

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
• Previous experience working in a school-based TA role
• Strong SEN experience is essential
• Confidence working across different primary age groups
• A patient, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting learning

Desirable:

• Experience across multiple key stages (EYFS-KS2)
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
• Team Teach or similar behaviour training (advantageous but not essential)
