Job Description

Do you hold a Class 1 licence and have Shunting experience and want to grow and develop within a reputable organistation?

Here at GXOKnottingleywe're looking fora Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our team working on the TJX contract. You'll be working on a full-time permanentbasis, 42 hours per week on a 4on 4off shift between the hours of 18:00-06:00

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Shunting duties including moving trailers and rigid wagons within the yard
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of the vehicle
  • MHE experience is desirable however full training will be provided
  • Adhere to all relevant legislation and company policies pertaining to driving, safety, and vehicle operation.
  • Perform any other duties related to the role as required

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Shunter experience would be beneficial
  • A full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement
  • A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
  • Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than 6 current penalty points
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
