Having recently formed a dedicated Claims Data & Analytics team to support the company's significant period of growth, a new position has been created for a Claims Analytics Manager. Here, you will support the Head of Claims Data & Analytics by leading on an area of the analytics function within the Claims department, covering Motor and Home. This role focuses on leveraging data to drive insights, improving claims handling efficiency in support of the Claims Operation, and supporting efficiency and indemnity improvement initiatives. You'll be a crucial link between the claims function and wider areas of the business such as Pricing and Actuarial, ensuring emerging trends are anticipated, quantified and communicated.
Responsibilities
- Lead on an area of the analytics function within the Claims department, covering Motor and Home.
- Leverage data to drive insights, improve claims handling efficiency, and support efficiency and indemnity improvement initiatives.
- Act as a link between the claims function and wider areas of the business (e.g., Pricing and Actuarial) to anticipate, quantify and communicate emerging trends.
- Analyse claims data to identify trends and patterns; produce materials for input to the Long-Term Pricing Process and other senior management meetings.
- Track and report on the benefits of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Claims Operations Managers and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Establish key performance metrics to monitor claims data performance and regularly report on the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
- Develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports; provide training and support to the wider claims team to enhance data literacy and analytical capabilities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in data analytics within the Personal Lines Insurance market.
- Ability to motivate and develop Analysts, strong stakeholder-management skills, and ability to drive through change.
- Ability to communicate complex messages at Executive and Delivery Team levels; proficient in data storytelling and designing clear presentations.
