Job Description
Overview

Travelers Europe is seeking a Claims Professional to join our team based in Dublin. The role focuses on handling professional indemnity and financial lines claims with strong experience in investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution in accordance with company policies and controls. The position supports the Claims Management team to ensure quality claims handling and excellent customer service. This is a hybrid role with a policy allowing three days in the office and two days remote for full-time staff.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims.
  • Investigate assigned claims and negotiate and settle proactively in line with company guidelines and best practices.
  • Reserve claims accurately per guidelines and maintain service standards.
  • Ensure data accuracy and manage external vendors, monitoring quality and cost of services to meet required standards.
  • Authorize claim payments and reserves within approved authority; provide technical advice as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships; contribute as a team member and participate in projects.
  • Assist Senior Claim Professionals with larger or more complex claims when required.
  • Communicate actions openly with manager and colleagues to support cross-disciplinary understanding.
  • Participate in training and development to maintain technical knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • General technical knowledge sufficient to handle a caseload within designated authority; experience in a claim handling environment preferred.
  • Ability to handle claims competently to required technical standards and service levels.
  • Intermediate communication and analytical thinking; ability to build collaborative relationships and exercise sound judgment.
  • Advanced customer focus and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must Have
  • Accredited Product Advisor (APA) qualification or above.
  • Prior insurance-related activity experience (e.g., paralegal, insurance operations, insurance broker).
