CIVILS SITE MANAGER

VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE UK

CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT

WORKING HOURS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY

The Civils Site Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of civil projects across our operations within the water network infrastructure, both regionally and nationally.

The role brief duties: -

• Leading and managing site teams, including subcontractors and workers, to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
• Providing technical guidance and supervision on civil engineering tasks.
• Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Ensuring that all work meets industry standards and regulations, conducting inspections, quality checks, and implementing any necessary corrective actions.
• Conducting pre-start preparations including RAMS, contracts, and program setup.
• Coordinating plant and resource requirements with the Project Manager.
• Ensuring knowledge and compliance with key contract areas.
• Overseeing daily site operations and completing all necessary paperwork (toolbox talks, safety briefings, LOLER, PUWER, excavation inspections etc.)
• Ensuring that all jobs are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Maintaining exemplary communication with stakeholders to promptly identify and address early warnings.
• Ensuring health and safety protocols are clearly communicated and strictly followed, while upholding high standards of safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-

• Experience: Civils Site Management in the water and utilities industry
• Certifications: CSCS Managers Card (level 6+) SMSTS training, CPCS Lift Supervision and Signaling, EUSR Blue card, full UK driving license.
• Regulations: Knowledge of CDM2015, especially for the Principal Contractor role.
• Health & Safety: IOSH or NEBOSH standard (obtained or in progress).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in NEC 3 and 4, understanding contracts and BoQ.
• IT Skills: converse with Microsoft office packages
• Soft Skills: Influencing, organisational, problem-solving, leadership, team collaboration.
• Personality Traits: Assertive, confident, friendly, adaptable, safety-conscious, tolerant, punctual, flexible.
