Civils Groundworks Site Manager

Job Overview

Groundworks Site Managers at Herrera Homes manage large groundworks teams for a public realm scheme in Bolton on a 12 month fixed term contract. The project involves the construction of a new bridge, footpaths, woodlands and other public realm elements, followed by new build housing.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage groundworks activities, ensuring public realm elements are completed to quality and safety standards.
• Lead and supervise a groundworks team, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report to the Contracts Manager and collaborate with the wider project team.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring milestones are achieved.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience managing large groundworks or civil construction teams on public realm or comparable projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for groundworks.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus standard benefits.

Additional benefits include a car allowance of approximately £5,000, holiday entitlement, and a full package. Salary negotiations are possible for CIS or limited company arrangements.

Contract Details

12 month fixed term contract with a start date as soon as possible.
