Our client are expanding, and we're looking for a detail driven Civil Technician to join their Manchester office. About

You'll support our engineering team by producing high quality technical drawings and models across a range of civil engineering projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. This is a hands on role where precision, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed drawings, models, and design information using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Assist with the design of drainage, highways, earthworks, and external works
  • Work closely with engineers to develop practical, efficient design solutions
  • Help compile technical reports, schedules, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate project records and adhere to quality standards
  • Contribute to a collaborative, knowledge sharing team environment
About you

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to develop their technical skills. Ideally, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification (HNC/HND or similar) in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Experience using AutoCAD; Civil 3D or MicroDrainage experience is a bonus
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate
  • A proactive attitude and a desire to progress within the civil engineering discipline
