CIVIL SITE ENGINEER APPRENTICE

You will be responsible for providing support to the Site Engineers and Managers across our sites across Northern Ireland. Working closely with our client NI Water and our Civils team in a rewarding environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• AutoCAD: the use of AutoCAD & drawing production.
• Setting out: the use of GPS and Total Station and hands-on assistance in site set-up.
• Surveying/as built surveys.
• Compliance: Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
• Subcontract management: checking the quality and workmanship.
• Monitoring construction progress: to ensure that deadlines are being met.
• Liaising with others: including the site staff, subcontractors, clients, Quantity Surveyors & Buyers involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications.
• Policies & Procedures: adhere to the Integrated Management System (IMS) i.e. policies and procedures.
• Other: any other task commensurate with this role.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Knowledge: working towards a Level 5 HLA programme in Civil Engineering/Construction related discipline.
• Experience: previous experience in a construction role would be advantageous.
• Skill: work effectively within a team environment.
• Skill: excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Skill: full valid driving licence would be essential.
