Civil Design Engineer

Our client, a renowned consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role involves working on wastewater infrastructure projects, providing a vital service to communities. Initially, this position offers hybrid working from Slough for the first four weeks, transitioning to flexible or remote working thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing wastewater infrastructure projects
• Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure project success
• Preparing detailed engineering plans and specifications
• Conducting site assessments and investigations
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Managing project timelines and deliverables
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
• Communicating effectively with clients and project teams

Job Requirements:

• Experience in civil engineering, particularly within the water sector
• Strong proficiency in civil design principles and relevant software
• Understanding of wastewater infrastructure and related standards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Relevant degree in civil engineering or a related field
