Position Summary

Job Title: Cash in Transit Officer
Location: Birmingham, B7 4AJ
Salary: £35,766.10 per annum (plus paid overtime) + company bonus scheme
Joining Bonus: £1,000 if you hold a valid CVIT SIA licence (paid after probation)
Shifts: 45 hours per week across 4 days (11.25 hours including paid breaks), shifts between 4:20am and 8:00pm with weekend work on rota basis

About the Role

As a Cash in Transit Officer, you'll help ensure the safe and secure transport of cash between locations, supporting service delivery while mitigating business risks. No two shifts are alike, as you'll switch between driving and courier duties, working solo or alongside a partner to keep operations running smoothly.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work alone or with a partner - either as a driver or a courier, depending on the assigned duties
  • Servicing ATM machines by ensuring the secure transportation and deployment of cash
  • Follow company processes and complete all associated documentation in line with operational targets
  • Drive and park company vehicles responsibly, in line with the Highway Code, company policy, and procedures to ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient service to customers
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and the branch management team to ensure any issues or concerns are addressed within a reasonable timeframe and to a satisfactory standard
Key Requirements
  • Ability to provide a continuous 10 year employment and education history (any gaps must be covered)
  • Valid full UK driving licence (no more than six penalty points)
  • Valid CVIT SIA licence desirable; if you already hold one, you'll receive a £1,000 bonus after completing your probationary period; otherwise, you can obtain it through our fully funded training programme
  • Conscientious driving with full adherence to the Highway Code at all times
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlinesAll successful candidates must provide a 10 year traceable work and education history and complete a criminal record and credit background check
