Job Description

Paris area Doctoral research Design ️ Full-time Bilingual EN/FR required

Floware is a deeptech company disrupting how mobility data is produced, analyzed, and transformed into actionable insights. We combine edge IoT, data fusion, and AI to simplify mobility strategy for public and private actors.

We are opening a CIFRE PhD position (funded doctoral research) in partnership with CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay, focused on designing the next generation of user interfaces for decision-making and simulation in mobility analytics.

The Research Project (confidential scope)

The selected candidate will contribute to the development of a completely new kind of integrated user interface. This interface will bridge advanced data visualization, interactive simulation, and decision support tools, offering a coherent and intuitive experience despite the complexity of underlying systems.

The project covers:

  • Designing a modular and adaptive UX/UI system
  • Developing intuitive ways to explore mobility data and scenarios
  • Exploring innovative mechanisms for simulation and interaction
  • Collaborating with engineers, researchers, and stakeholders from real-world mobility projects

While the core research subject is confidential, the interface will be at the heart of our Floware platform, integrating real-time urban data, multimodal simulation tools, and AI-based functionalities currently under development.

The candidate will also contribute to strategic R&D collaborations, including Horizon Europe projects and other major partnerships led by Floware.

The PhD thesis will be hosted at Floware (R&D office near Paris) and supervised jointly with CentraleSupélec, leading to the degree of Doctor of Paris-Saclay University.

A portion of the candidate's time will be dedicated to design tasks contributing to Floware's platform and communication materials.
