Our new world-leading centre for innovation on-site at Macquarie University NSW represents a new era for hearing and vision loss. This nationally significant social infrastructure project was undertaken to nurture, trial and share new ideas and form new partnerships that will drive better outcomes for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision.While the centre is based in Macquarie, its impact will extend across the country to all our sites -and your role from our Liverpool office will be essential in bringing these advancements to life.
Job DescriptionThe Role
NextSense has an exciting opportunity for a Cochlear Implant (CI) Audiologist to join our team at Liverpool. This is a 12 month contract, part-time role working 22.8 hours per week, across 4 days. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with paediatric experience to expand their clinical experience into the CI space. Reporting directly to the Network Manager, Greater Sydney, you'll make a difference in this role by:
- Providingevidence-based assessment, intervention supports and other strategies to assist clients in achievingoutcomes
- Providingall aspects of service delivery for the implantable hearing device journey, including assessment, intraoperative testing and mapping
- Using a person/family centred framework when providing services to clients across the lifespan
- Participating in and providing clinical supervision to other team members
- Ensuring NextSenselegislative and policyrequirements are met by undertaking various administrativeduties to maintain client records, information and case notes
- Liaising with key stakeholders in the communities in which our outreach programs take place

To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria.
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications and at least three(3) years' professional experience
- Proven ability to work with children and their families
- Experience in undertakingaudiological assessments
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Well-developed communication, presentation and computer skills
- Able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- A strong working knowledge of and commitment to "best practice" and standards of quality in audiology
- Capacity andeligibility to obtain a Medicare provider number to undertake the role
- A valid driver's licence
- A verified Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check and NDIS Worker Check
- Paediatric and adult audiological experience
- A workingknowledge of electrophysiological tests
- Practicing member of Audiology Australia
- Willing to learn new systems, processes and frameworks
