Christmas Customer Advisor

The salary for this role is £12.40 per hour. The festive season at Boots is an exciting and important time, and this Christmas Customer Assistant role places you at the heart of the action - greeting customers, offering product and gift advice, and creating memorable experiences that encourage customers to return all year round. This is a temporary contract with potential for a permanent role later depending on local opportunities.
This is a great opportunity whether you are starting your career or have retail or customer service experience and are looking for a fresh challenge.
Responsibilities- Customer Interaction: Offer thoughtful advice, recommend products and highlight offers to ensure a positive shopping experience and that no one leaves empty-handed.
- Till Operation: Wrap up purchases at the counter or support self-checkout systems with energy and efficiency.
- Stock Management: Keep shelves full so customers can find what they need, especially during the busy season.
- Store Presentation: Ensure the store looks its best at all times.
- Online order support: Assist with deliveries, picking, and packing for online orders as needed while remaining customer-facing.
- Available to work Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.
- Customer Service Skills: Comfortable approaching customers and providing a personalised experience.
- Operations Ready: Ability to balance customer care with daily shopfloor and operational tasks.
- Tech-Savvy: Ability to learn and use new technology, including handheld devices, tills and self-checkouts.
- Team Player: A collaborative, one-team mindset to help achieve store goals.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to be on your feet, standing, walking and lifting.
- Brand Ambassador: Passion for Boots ethos, products and services.
- Experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
- Familiarity with Boots products and services to help customers
