Specialist Support Worker (Children & Young People)

Location: Bangor & North Wales area

Salary: £14 - £16 per hour

Job Type: Full-time / Rolling rota for consistency

We are seeking dedicated Support Workers and Senior Support Workers in the Bangor area to join our specialist crisis teams. If you have experience supporting children and young people through trauma and crisis, this is your opportunity to build a rewarding local career.

The Role & Requirements:

Supporting young people in a residential setting, you will use your experience to de-escalate challenging behaviours, build trust, and maintain accurate daily records to support long-term care plans.

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of paid UK care experience (ideally residential).
  • Skills: Calm and resilient under pressure; confident in making quick, safe decisions.
  • Compliance: PMVA training is highly desirable (or a willingness to train), and a DBS on the update service (or support for a new application).
  • Ideally, you will have a driver's licence and business insurance to assist with daily activities.
