Location: Sherwin Road Children's Residential Home and Mettham Street Children's Residential Home, Nottingham
About the RoleWe're looking for a Children's Residential Business Support Officer to join our Children's Support Services.
This post provides dedicated business support to Sherwin Road and Mettham Street Children's Residential Homes, working closely with Registered Managers, Assistant Managers, and Children's Residential Social Care Workers (CRSCWs).
The role provides comprehensive, flexible administrative and operational support, helping to ensure consistent service delivery and positive outcomes for children and young people. You will support the day to day running of the homes, including:
- Financial monitoring and processing
- Maintaining accurate records and systems
- Organising meetings and producing minutes
- Liaising with internal and external professionals
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Qualifications- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience of working in a pressured, confidential environment
- Experience of using financial systems and case management tools
- Understanding of business support processes within a local authority setting
- Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and confidentiality within children's services
- Knowledge of UK data protection legislation, including GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Problem solving skills with a proactive and solution focused approach
- High levels of discretion when working in sensitive environments
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
An enhanced DBS check for regulated activity is required.
