Children's Registered Manager - EBD Home (CM22)

Location: CM22 (Essex) Salary: £60,000-£75,000 (depending on experience) + performance bonuses Contract: Full-time, permanent

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, passionate Registered Manager to lead a small, nurturing EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) children's home in the CM22 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a high-quality service, build a strong team culture, and create a safe, stable environment where young people can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the day-to-day running of a children's residential home

  • Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations, and safeguarding standards

  • Developing a therapeutic, child-centred culture that promotes positive outcomes

  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing staff team

  • Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies

  • Building strong relationships with local authorities, professionals, and families

  • Driving continuous improvement and preparing the home for Ofsted inspections

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an EBD setting

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and regulatory frameworks

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

  • A confident leader who can inspire, motivate, and maintain high standards

  • Someone resilient, emotionally intelligent, and committed to improving young people's lives
