Childcare Law Solicitor

Comyn Kelleher Tobin LLP is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join the Childcare Law Department. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of childcare law matters, representing clients in District Court proceedings and providing expert advice on all aspects of child protection and welfare law.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients in childcare law matters, including applications under the relevant and related legislation.
• Prepare and present cases before the District Court and other relevant forums.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documentation to a high standard.
• Liaise with social workers, guardians ad litem, and other stakeholders in child protection cases.
• Provide clear, timely legal advice to clients and maintain excellent client care standards.
• Manage files efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Contribute to departmental knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
• Qualified Solicitor in Ireland with 3-5 years PQE.
• District Court advocacy experience is essential.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Full clean driver's license is essential.
• Experience working with public bodies or in child protection litigation.
• Familiarity with legal processes and procedures.
• Commitment to continuous professional development in childcare law.
