Solace is the UK's leading membership body for local government professionals. We are a champion for the sector and its work; a voice for our 2,000+ members. Every pound we earn supports our members and the sector to deliver outcomes for communities.

With a new five-year plan in place, we now seek a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help deliver our mission - to support and empower local government leaders - with impact, innovation, and integrity. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will touch every aspect of our work and drive operational excellence, strategic transformation, and sustainable growth.

We're looking for someone who knows the sector well, and who has practical experience of strategy development, policy, governance, corporate business management, change and transformation. You'll have clear ideas on how to harness digital and AI to enhance the user experience, and an assured approach to people, performance and resource management.
