Contract: Permanent

Location: National (regular travel across Cranstoun's services will be
required) - Administrative Head Office is in Wimbledon, London

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, expert Chief Executive to consolidate and continue the work of our interim Chief Executive, Carmen White.

Over the past five years Cranstoun has grown rapidly, with turnover doubling to close to £40 million. That growth was not matched by investment in the infrastructure, governance, data and controls that an organisation of this size and complexity needs, and the Board has been open with itself about the risks this created.

Since September 2025, an interim Chief Executive has led focused work to strengthen financial oversight, risk management and governance foundations, alongside a Board of Trustees bringing significant governance, legal, clinical and public sector experience. The new Chief Executive Officer will build on this platform.

This is a significant and rewarding opportunity for an experienced chief executive who wants to help a values-led, mission-driven organisation with real reach and impact further develop its services, ensuring that the services are safe, well-governed and high-performing without ever losing sight of the passion, expertise and commitment of Cranstoun's staff and the people they support.

Candidates are likely to bring recent experience of senior executive leadership in a comparable organisation, with a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of our business model. Insight into the effective management of commissioned contracts, the ability to build and maintain commissioner relationships, and a confident grasp of complex, regulated service delivery are all essential; and you must demonstrate that you bring astute financial management in order to sustain our strong financial position and long-term stability.
