The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust provides highly-specialist cancer care across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.

In June 2020, we opened Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Liverpool, our spectacular new cancer hospital in the heart of Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter, providing state-of-the-art facilities as part of a £162m investment. Alongside our flagship hospital in Liverpool, we also have two other main cancer centres:

• Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral, providing outpatient cancer treatment and supportive care
• Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Aintree, our radiotherapy treatment centre

Together, working across three sites and operating specialist chemotherapy clinics in four of Merseyside's district hospitals, we deliver a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies.

We also deliver a pioneering Treatment at Home and Work service, are the only facility in the UK providing low-energy proton beam therapy to treat rare eye cancers, and host the region's Teenage and Young Adult Unit.

Main duties of the job

Band 5 Chemotherapy Nurse - 37.5 hrs, permanent. Monday-Friday working - 4 days

We are looking for an enthusiasticBand 5 nurse to work at both our Clatterbridge Private Clinics, based in Wirral and Liverpool.

As an NHS staff member we're also expected to deliver treatments in sector hubs and clinics across the Wirral and Liverpool, there will an element of cross cover required during training and once training has been completed. This will include travelling to all of our peripheral sites if required:

• CCC Liverpool
• CCC Aintree
• CCC Wirral
• CCC Chester
• CCC Halton
• CCC Private Unit Wirral
• CCC Private Unit Liverpool
• Clatterbridge in the Community

• Knowledge of NMC code of conduct

• NM6 998 Cancer Treatments and Care
• NM6 996 Chemotherapy Principles and Care

Qualifications

• 1st level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Evidence of continued professional development
• In date PIN number with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
• Degree or working towards

Experience

• Previous nursing experience of a hospital setting
• Previous nursing experience within a medical setting
• Previous nursing experience of a hospital setting
