Blue Arrow is currently recruiting experienced Agency Chefs to work within care homes, schools, and nursery settings across Essex. These roles are ideal for chefs who enjoy structured, meaningful cooking and want flexible work with regular hours.

We're looking for reliable, passionate chefs who understand the importance of nutrition, consistency, and care when cooking for vulnerable groups and children.

The Role

• Preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents, pupils, and children
• Catering for dietary requirements, allergens, and special needs
• Working to set menus and portion control guidelines
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness
• Supporting kitchen teams in care and education environments
• Delivering a calm, organised service

• SEN and specialist education sites

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef (care, education, or contract catering preferred)
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum)
• Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and allergens
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Own chef whites and knives
• A professional, patient, and caring approach
