Chef Manager

The Chef Manager role in New Malden oversees catering across two primary schools, serving roughly 300 meals daily. This temporary position, starting in September, offers £15.27 per hour for 32.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, across 39 working weeks plus holiday pay, with temp-to-perm possibilities. The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef Manager to oversee catering operations across two primary schools , serving approximately 300 meals each day . You will lead a team of four catering staff , ensuring the smooth day to day running of the kitchen and the delivery of high quality, nutritious meals across both sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of four catering staff.
• Oversee the preparation and service of approximately 300 meals daily.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.
• Manage stock, ordering and food costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and allergen regulations.
• Coordinate the safe delivery of meals to the second school.

About You

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or Senior Chef.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Passionate about delivering high quality food and service.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen requirements.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
• Full driving licence and ability to drive a van is essential.
