Chef Manager

Berkeley-Scott is recruiting experienced Chef Managers for temporary agency work based in Rushden and surrounding areas starting in September. This role pays between £18.00 and £24.00 per hour depending on experience and end employer, and involves managing daily kitchen operations across schools and various catering businesses. You will oversee food preparation, lead kitchen teams, and ensure high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
