Chef Manager

The Chef Manager role in Henley-on-Thames involves leading kitchen operations across schools and hospitality settings from September.

This temporary agency position, paid £18.00 to £24.00 per hour depending on experience, requires overseeing daily catering activities, managing staff, and ensuring high food standards.

You will coordinate schedules, control stock, and maintain hygiene compliance. Strong leadership and organisational abilities are essential for this varied work. Key responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
