We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef/Cook to provide temporary sickness cover within a busy daytime café environment.

This position is available for an immediate start and is expected to run until 17th September, with the possibility of additional work depending on business requirements.

Working Pattern

• Wednesday to Sunday
• 7:00am until finish (typically 3:30pm to 4:00pm)
• Approximately 45 hours per week
• 20-minute break per shift

The café operates a busy breakfast, brunch and lunch service, with food served between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing food ahead of service
• Cooking and managing orders during service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
• Supporting end-of-day kitchen clean-down
• Working effectively as part of a small kitchen team

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook
• Experience within a breakfast/brunch environment is preferred
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Reliable and able to hit the ground running
• Strong team player with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working within a small team of three
