Chef - Chef de Partie, Sous Chef & Head Chef

Location: Belfast and surrounding areas
Hours: Ad Hoc - Choose Your Own Hours
Salary: £12.75-£21.87 per hour, depending on role and shift
Contract: Temporary ongoing

About the Role:

MPA Recruitment is recruiting Chefs, Chef de Parties, Sous Chefs and Head Chefs for flexible ad hoc shifts across care homes in Belfast and surrounding areas.

Choose the shifts that suit you and work around your existing commitments. Whether you're looking for additional hours, part-time work or flexible shifts, we have opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality and well-presented meals.
• Cater for individual dietary requirements, including IDDSI diets and food fortification.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
• Follow menus and dietary requirements.
• Support the smooth running of the kitchen.
• Senior chefs will supervise kitchen staff and take responsibility for kitchen operations where required.

Additional Information:

• Enhanced Access NI Check required at a cost of £32.
• All required online training must be completed before starting.

What We're Looking For:

• Chef / Chef de Partie: Level 2 Food Safety / Food Hygiene and previous care home catering experience.
• Sous Chef: Level 2 Food Safety / Food Hygiene minimum, with Level 3 desirable, plus senior/supervisory experience.
• Head Chef: Level 2 Food Safety / Food Hygiene minimum, with Level 3 desirable, plus previous Head Chef/senior kitchen experience.
• Previous care home experience and knowledge of IDDSI diets and food fortification are required.
• Head Chefs should be able to cook to a private dining standard
