£14.39 to £14.96 per hour (inclusive of market supplement)

A new opportunity for a Chef to work in the kitchen at Halsey House care home. We have a 35 hour per week contract with a 5/7 day rota including weekend and bank holiday shifts. Salary £14.39 to £14.96 per hour (includes market supplement).

You will work with the Head chef to deliver catering services within the home, maintaining a high standard of food provision and service to the residents, staff and visitors.

Educated to NVQ Level 3 Cooking or equivalent and holding an intermediate food hygiene certificate, you must have experience of catering management in a care home or similar environment for a large number of people and experience of catering to meet special dietary requirements. You should also be an effective communicator and have experience of leading a team and managing stock control.

Previous experience of maintaining standards within a catering department according to Health & Safety and Food Safety Act, and good IT skills are essential.
