Our client is a global player in the contract catering industry that supplies catering and facility services to various sites throughout the UK.

They are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef for their site in Plymouth. This company offers excellent benefits and opportunities to progress.

• Salary: £14.16 per hour
• Location: Plymouth
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week; shifts are either breakfast and lunch or lunch and early tea. Each shift is 8 hours: 6:30-14:30, 12:30-20:30 or slight variations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to set standards.
• Support the Sous Chef in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget.
• Be responsible for maintaining up-to-date product and menu knowledge.
• Maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation.
• Ensure portion and quality control.
• Comply with health and safety and food safety legislations.

What You Need To Be a Successful Chef

• Previous experience as a Chef.
• NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
