Charity QuickBooks Migration Lead

Art Refugeis a charity that uses art and art therapy to supportthe mental health and well-being of people displaced due to conflict, persecutionand poverty, both in the UK and internationally.

Our ongoing programmes take place in the UK and northern France while we are involved in shorter term interventions and research projects in other settings. We also deliver tailor-made arts-based training, crisis support and skills-sharing workshops in the UK, Europe and internationally. The charity has been operational since 2006.

We would like to migrate our accounting book of records to QuickBooks and need help / support as a one-off exercise to map out a chart of accounts and carry balances from current software. I would love to hear from anyone with experience of using QuickBooks and would like to project manage the migration - as a small charity, the books are relatively simple and we would expect to bring forward FY25 records only

These records consist mainly of tracking & recording charitable donations as well as payment of expenses for freelance staff and the support costs of the charity. This one-off work will be completed with support and oversight from the Treasurer and current bookkeeper (who has experience as a user of QuickBooks)

The role is location-independent and the work is expected to take a couple of days maximum which can be completed on a flexible basis.

Required skills / experience

• would suit experienced charity bookkeeper or accountant with systems experience
• would consider working with accountancy students / graduates as a learning development assuming a foundational level of understanding of QuickBooks and/or experience of (simple) system migration
