Change Lead

Location: South West Birmingham

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Working Pattern: Hybrid/Mobile - approx. 2 days per week in office or onsite

Contract: Permanent

A renowned national services organisation is undertaking a significant transformation programme to strengthen financial governance, operational controls, and compliance across its nationwide operations. With over 6,000 operational sites and a workforce of 70,000 colleagues, the organisation is implementing enhanced financial control frameworks and governance processes that will impact frontline teams responsible for cash handling and operational compliance. To support this programme, the business is appointing a permanent Change Lead who will play a key role in ensuring these new controls and processes are successfully adopted across the organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale, business-critical transformation programme that will reshape how governance and financial controls are Embedded across a complex operational environment.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Profit Protection, with a dotted line into the central change team, the Change Lead will focus on driving engagement, adoption and behavioural change across frontline operational teams.

The programme will establish new financial and governance controls aligned to evolving regulatory standards, requiring effective communication, training and change support for colleagues across the UK.

Working closely with auditors, operational leaders and programme stakeholders, the Change Lead will ensure that complex governance requirements are translated into clear, practical processes that frontline teams understand and adopt.

This role will be instrumental in ensuring that change initiatives land effectively across thousands of sites and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead change management activities for a major financial governance and controls programme.
  • Translate technical audit and control requirements into clear, practical operational processes.
  • Develop and deliver change plans that support adoption across large, distributed frontline teams.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across operations, finance, audit and programme teams.
  • Support communication, training and engagement activities across a national workforce.
  • Ensure new controls and governance frameworks are Embedded successfully across operational sites.
  • Work closely with the central transformation team to align with enterprise change practices.
  • Monitor adoption and provide feedback to programme leadership on risks, issues and engagement levels.

YOU

The experienced Change Lead will bridge the gap between governance requirements and operational reality. Experience will include:

  • Proven experience delivering change management within complex organisations
  • Experience supporting large operational or frontline workforces
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, practical guidance
  • Experience working alongside audit, governance, finance or risk functions (desirable)
  • Strong communication and engagement capability
  • Ability to operate effectively within a large, distributed operational environment
  • Knowledge of SOX or regulatory control frameworks is helpful but not essential.
