Kilkenny based CFO role with a large Irish business with operations nationwide. (hybrid working).

About Your New Job

• Lead and develop the finance function to ensure financial strategy, systems, controls and reporting support long-term business objectives.
• Guide the organisation's financial strategy in collaboration with the CEO, executive team, and board.
• Deliver clear financial insight, commercial challenge, and strategic leadership to support effective decision-making and sustainable growth.
• Oversee long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, regulatory requirements, and manage external audit processes.
• Act as a strategic partner across the organisation, providing meaningful financial insight for business decisions, pricing, investment, and M&A activity.
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring succession planning and continuous development.

What Skills You Need

• Qualified accountant with senior leadership experience, ideally within a large Irish business.
• Strong strategic and commercial financial acumen.
• Excellent technical knowledge of accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning.
• Strong risk, controls, and governance expertise.
• Previous experience with mergers/acquisitions.
• Experienced in partnering with CEOs, boards, and senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams.
• Stamp 4 or EU Passport required.
