Overview

MS Dynamics CE Solution Architect at KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions, a growing Microsoft Dynamics Practice delivering world class solutions in ERP, CRM, and e-Commerce. Our solutions focus on advisory and implementation services related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP), integrating management information across an entire organisation into one system. The role spans multiple departments and functions including finance, manufacturing, customer relationship management, HR, and sales.

The Dynamics CE Solution Architect is a core member of the delivery team for Microsoft Dynamics 365 cantered solutions and should have extensive experience across all phases of enterprise Dynamics CE projects. It involves consultancy with clients, coordinating onshore consultants, and working with both onshore and offshore development teams. The role also includes presales activities focused on Dynamics CE functionality, Power Platform, and the wider Microsoft platform. You will contribute to proposal development and input in business development while leading and mentoring more junior staff. This role is an important element of KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions' delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE projects.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality business and software solutions to clients using knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE functional capabilities, working with client teams and business stakeholders.
  • Lead, organise, manage, and document workshops, meetings and requirements sessions with client representatives, project stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Own the delivery of high-quality business and software solutions using deep understanding of Dynamics 365 CE functional capabilities.
  • Own the gathering and documentation of functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis for workstreams.
  • Ensure pre-sales engagements are delivered with rigour and attention to detail comparable to client engagements.
  • Interface effectively with other delivery team members and the solution Architect to ensure Power Platform solutions meet client requirements.
  • Contribute to the wider CE practice by defining training needs and coaching or mentoring team members.
  • Identify business/project risks and mitigate or communicate as necessary.
  • Deliver high-quality business and software solutions and services following Microsoft Dynamics standards and supported configurations/customisations.
  • Create high-quality and sustainable client solutions and project documentation, including testing activities support.
  • Deliver consultancy and configuration work according to KPMG project methodology, ensuring delivery on time and on budget.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including building demo and proof of concept solutions for client presentations.
  • Deliver end-user training to clients and colleagues where applicable.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills, and behaviour.
  • Advise client and delivery team members on scope (creep) and change control processes.
  • Provide on-site support and assistance throughout delivery and go-live phases to clients and junior team members.
  • Communicate progress updates to relevant parties formally and informally.
  • Support practice development activities such as defining and configuring industry-specific solutions.
  • Lead and grow junior members of the team; perform performance management for two or more junior members of the product team.
  • Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training; promote the values of the company.
Qualifications and Essential Skills
  • Extensive experience as a CRM Consultant with large-scale, complex implementations and deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 capabilities, including relevant certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 practices; deep understanding of Azure and cloud technologies, .NET development, Power BI, and the broader Microsoft stack (PowerApps, Power BI, Data Verse, Azure, Office 365) in fast-paced Agile environments.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas and solutions aligned with Dynamics 365 capabilities; translate business and customer needs into a great digital customer experience.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics Power Platforms Accelerators, industry templates, and add-ons; ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Willingness to develop knowledge of new Microsoft functionality, stay current with roadmaps, and pursue certifications to deliver best client solutions.
  • Knowledge of best practices for working with offshore teams; Dynamics CRM certifications, ideally current versions.
  • Strong soft skills: confident, independent and team-oriented, excellent presentation and communication skills, ability to engage C-Suite stakeholders, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in delivery-oriented IT environments using waterfall and agile methodologies; lead Design Consulting with Power Platform capabilities.
  • Experience with end-to-end lifecycle: design, development management, release management, data migrations, cut-over planning, and early live support.
Experience and Background
  • Extensive experience as a CRM Solution Architect leading enterprise implementation; deep and broad knowledge of Dynamics 365.
  • Proven ability to translate client needs into solutions; experience with Power Platform configuration, workflows, dashboards, and reports development.
  • Minimum 10+ years hands-on functional experience; deep knowledge of D365 CE areas including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Services, Project Services Automation.
  • Experience leading and mentoring others; delivery-oriented with a strong client-centric mindset.
