Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced CCTV Operators to work within our CCTV control suite based in central Stirling. Ideally you will have experience in operating CCTV systems.

As part of the role, you will be responsible for monitoring the Council's Public Space CCTV network, liaising with internal and external partners, including Police Scotland and the Councils Community Safety Team.

You will be expected to show abilities such as multitasking, dealing with dynamic situations and responding to enquiries. The role will involve all aspects of control room based duties such as monitoring CCTV, communication with staff, contractors and emergency services, whilst undertaking activities to ensure that the public feel safe and protected in our communities.

The post is offered on a full time basis of 35 hours per week, which is averaged over the shift pattern. This means that some weeks you may work more or less than 35 hours over a rotating pattern of shifts, covering both early, late and night shifts over a 7 day period. The shift pattern covers 365 days including bank holidays and attracts unsociable shift allowance. More information about the pattern and the expectations will be discussed at interview stage.

The successful applicant will be subject to a Standard Disclosure check and enhanced Police vetting checks. Candidates should consider that these checks can take up to 8 weeks to be completed and no offer of employment will be made until all checks are fully completed. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be invited to complete the form and have your details verified.

We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
