Rate: £14.80 per hour

About the role

As Catering Manager, you'll lead our Catering Team in providing healthy and inviting meals for the people we support. The role involves creating nutritious menus for a range of dietary requirements and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the kitchen.
• Prepare, cook and serve food.
• Understand people's needs, likes and choices to develop suitable menus.
• Ensure the Catering Team complies with food hygiene standards.
• Complete relevant checks and maintain accurate records.
• Control stock and purchases within an allocated budget.
• Lead and manage Catering Team members, providing induction, training and support.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook with a flair for creating delicious and nutritious meals for varied dietary requirements.
• Creative in menu development and food preparation.
• Excellent team player, able to coordinate, support and motivate a team.
• Experience in managing a catering budget.
• Adaptable and flexible.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification, or working towards it.
• Previous experience in a similar management position and environment, ideally in a care setting.
