We're currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join a well-established and welcoming school in Bolton on a long or short-term basis starting in September. This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm.

You'll be joining a well-organised and community-minded school that takes pride in providing pupils with a positive and enjoyable experience throughout the school day. You'll be joining a busy and welcoming school environment where the catering team plays an important role in ensuring pupils receive healthy, well-prepared meals each day. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff
• Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen and dining area
• Supporting the wider catering team with day-to-day kitchen duties
• Ensuring food is handled, stored and served safely in line with school and statutory requirements
• Providing friendly and professional service to pupils and staff

Requirements or Skills:

• Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene qualification - essential
• Previous experience working in a catering, kitchen or food service environment is desirable
• Good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety and allergen awarenessReliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a busy environment and following instructions from senior catering staff
• A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to maintaining high standards
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
