catering assistant

Position Summary

Berkeley Scott is seeking a Catering Assistant for temporary roles across Bolton and the surrounding Manchester area, including schools, stadiums, hotels, restaurants and contract catering sites. The role offers immediate starts, flexible shift patterns, weekly pay and diverse working locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food items.
• Clear and close the unit at the end of each shift.
• Maintain food safety, food allergen legislation and overall cleanliness.
• Assist with special events and buffets as required.
• Use till and/or computerised stock system as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in catering or food service role (e.g., canteen assistant, kitchen porter, waiter, barista).
• Food Safety and Food Allergen Qualifications or willingness to complete such training.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment.
• Team player with initiative to work independently.
• Driver's licence preferred but not essential.
