Crossford Primary School - Catering Assistant

Position: Permanent full time role working 10 hours per week on a 38 week, term time contract.

Location: Crossford Primary School, Crossford, Dunfermline.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and ensure pupils and staff receive hot or cold meals every school day, including Breakfast Club, Morning Break and Lunch.
• Prepare and serve meals according to school guidelines and food safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly kitchen environment.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high quality food service during school hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Full training will be provided; no specific qualification required.
• Must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
• Attend an induction training day before starting in post.

Pay & Benefits

Salary: £25,604.23 pro rata (annualised) based on a 38 week contract, with the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.64 per hour plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Additional Information

On the job training will be given to enable completion of a Food Hygiene Certificate.
