• Care Home: Laurel Place
• Location: Gudmensen Avenue, Bishop Auckland, DL14 6RG
• Contract type: Part time, 20hrs per week. Weekend availability required.
• Rate: £12.71 per hour

Overview

Join our team at Laurel Place care home in Bishop Auckland. In this role you'll support the Chef by preparing and cooking food, setting dining tables, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Meal times are crucial for residents, and you'll help ensure a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy - washing up, cleaning freezers, and mopping floors.
• Clean and sanitise all tableware.
• Understand residents' needs, likes and choices to help develop suitable menus.
• Interact with residents to gather meal feedback.
• Comply with food hygiene standards.
• Be a great team player, working with the wider Catering Team.

Qualifications & Skills

Relevant experience and qualifications are valued but not essential. We look for:
