About the Role:

Amazon aims to be Earth's most customer-centric company, offering vast selection, low prices, and convenience. The Indian Books market is a significant opportunity, projected to grow from $50B in 2022 to over $60B by 2025. The goal is to increase online readership and learning through Amazon.in's Books category. The Books team, part of the Media organization, is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead growth initiatives, manage the category's topline and inputs, and collaborate with internal and external teams to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a customer obsession, with a proactive approach and ownership mindset.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience with Excel
  • 5+ years in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiation and results delivery
  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of professional/military experience
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience managing large data sets to improve performance and processes
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotions, inventory management, and product development
