This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation in a key strategic role. The Category Manager will take ownership of defined spend categories, driving value through effective category strategies, supplier management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering category strategies aligned with business objectives

• Leading supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contract management activities

• Managing and developing relationships with key strategic suppliers

• Analysing spend, market trends, and supply risks to inform commercial decisions

• Working closely with internal stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and finance

• Driving continuous improvement across cost, quality, service, and sustainability

• Supporting manufacturing projects and new product introductions with effective sourcing solutions

• Ensuring procurement policies, governance, and best practice are followed

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Category Manager or Senior Buyer within a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a track record of delivering value

• Experience managing complex spend categories and strategic suppliers

• The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving

• CIPS qualification or working towards this would be advantageous
