Are you a confident and analytical individual with a flair for identifying market trends? We are working with a long-established and successful FMCG family business focusing on offering a first-class service. They are looking for a Category Manager who can turn all category and shopper data into actionable insights with retailers. This is a full-time, permanent role, based onsite every day in Banbury.

As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Cementing your position as a key independent advisor with your buyers, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Becoming the category champion by delivering monthly updates to your accounts, proactively analysing performance, and providing insightful, challenging views on the category
• Reviewing customer and market data to optimise range and space with retail/wholesale partners
• Flagging risks and opportunities with distribution, advising account managers, and making robust recommendations on promotional strategies or ranging, including supporting NPD
• Contributing to the development and evolution of the top-line category vision for customers
• Performing data analysis - not just crunching numbers but telling the story behind them
• Training and coaching the team to make effective use of data and insights, ensuring self-sufficiency in data understanding
• Prioritising tasks quickly in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
• Being hands-on and adaptable, contributing to all aspects from data analysis to process development for future growth

As a Category Manager, you must have:

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, comfortable presenting data and making insightful recommendations
• A proven track record of delivering results and insight-led wins that drive value
• Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally
• A customer-centric approach to solutions that exceed business goals
• Experience in category management within FMCG, preferably in Household, Health, or Beauty categories
• FMCG experience in a category-based role, with a focus on delivering growth for customers
