Spinwell is recruiting for a Category Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

Responsibilities of the Category Manager

1. Develop and implement Category Strategy for specific categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategy and efficiencies (savings) in alignment with business stakeholders.
2. Support and execute strategic sourcing activities in line with approved category strategy and preferred suppliers list, including the execution of the RFx process, supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, business award, and contract handover to the business, in compliance with business requirements and client policies, including the Code of Conduct and Code of Business Ethics.
3. Support the execution of Supplier Relationship Management for key suppliers, including segmentation, contract management, risk mitigation, and performance management.
4. Monitor and drive supplier performance, ensuring contractual obligations are met, using tools like the Supplier Performance Card, KPIs, and SLAs, and secure commercial compensation for non-compliance.
5. Assist in developing supplier value through external management review meetings, aligned with the client's Supplier Relationship Management framework.
6. Drive operational efficiency in line with Supply Chain processes, strategies, and targets.

1. 5+ years' experience as a Category Manager

8. T+C knowledge
9. Strategic sourcing and tender creation
10. Evaluation and strategy creation
