As Category Buyer Maintenance, you will be responsible, for the category of spend assigned, for implementing sourcing strategies according to category management strategies and leading sourcing activities across all business units at global level.
This includes activities such as, but not limited to, partnering with the internal business teams to support their objectives, assist with building project scopes, consolidate all business needs and specification, conduct Global Request for Proposal (RFP), negotiate contracts renewals, rate cards / discount schedules, and manage overall relationships with key suppliers. Main responsibilities:
Contribute to and present Procurement strategies to key internal customers for review and input.
Maintain knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry benchmarks while providing solutions & alternatives for process and cost improvement.
Communicate category vision & goals and work closely with site stakeholders and leverage procurement services for middle and back-offices services.
Ensure the implementation and operational follow-up of action plans derived from the strategies by the Global Category Management and/or Procurement Business Partners, in close collaboration with the procurement network and stakeholders.
Provide support to the Global Lead Buyer of the category to ensure the execution of the strategy and sourcing activities.
Lead RFIs/RFPs and contract negotiations for maintenance category and deliver savings pipeline in line with targets.
Report on status, savings, performance, and risks on the sourcing activities for maintenance category, while acting as a change agent and managing issue resolution.
About you
Experience:
4+ years' experience in Procurement Maintenance experience across multiple sites within an international industrial environment.
Technical knowledge of Preventive and Reactive maintenance techniques.
Experience into remote and/or predictive maintenance contract deployment and equipment connectivity and censoring.
Proven Stakeholder-, project - and crisis management skills.
Knowledge of Maintenance management tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with negotiation and contracting (incl. finance and legal aspects).
Soft and technical skills
Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Flexible, resourceful, creative, and solution oriented.
Proven project management.
Technical and commercial Negotiation.
Communication skills: Assertiveness, ability to convince/influence others and excellent presentation skills.
Able to quickly assimilate new information/skills.
Readily adapts to new environment, processes, ways of working.
Team player.
Role model in compliance and ethics.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or another relevant field.
Languages: Excellent command of both written and spoken English required
