Please note: The working pattern will be Monday to Thursday 09:00 - 17:00 (30 minute break) & Friday 09:00 - 16:30 (30 minute break). Reception cover will be required on an ad hoc basis. Case Administrators play a vital support role in probation teams, helping to keep the public safe and giving people the chance to turn their lives around. If you are successful in the recruitment process and join the Probation Service, your starting salary will be £24,645. The Probation Service offers the opportunity for annual pay progression through a Competency Based Framework (CBF) and increases pay band ranges annually in line with Civil Service Pay guidance.
Overview of the jobThis is an administrative position within the Probation Service. Case Administrators support probation staff to work with people on probation. Responsibilities include ensuring all processes run efficiently, maintaining systems, collating and preparing probation information for case files, and handling enquiries from colleagues, agencies and people on probation in a busy environment.
Working Arrangements & Further InformationThe MoJ offers hybrid working arrangements where business need allows. The role can only be worked in the United Kingdom. Some roles will not be suitable for hybrid working. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate and subject to regular review.
Benefits- Annual leave is 25 days on appointment and will increase to 30 days after five years' service, plus public holidays. Leave for part time and job share posts will be calculated on a pro rata basis.
- Pension: The National Probation Service is covered by the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) run through the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF). Current civil servants joining will be opted out of the PCSPS and automatically enrolled into LGPS.
