We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Caretaker to join our friendly and established team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Care for buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs.
• Manage site health & safety compliance checks.
• Respond to health and safety requirements, work independently, and manage school and nursery security.
• Liaise effectively with contractors such as trades and grounds workers.
• Attend appropriate training courses.
• Be aware and undertake safeguarding responsibilities around children and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications and experience:

• Experience in building or premises management with recognised experience, training or qualifications.
• Confidence to work alone and manage security duties.
• Demonstrated awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Eligibility and requirements:

• All staff will be required to obtain an enhanced DBS Certificate with the Local Authority.
• Applicant must not be disqualified under the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018; a self declaration is required.
