Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue is looking for a friendly and dependable Caretaker/Cleaner to support the day-to-day running of our community site. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks and is committed to providing excellent service to our members and visitors.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the synagogue and grounds
• Carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs
• Help prepare rooms and facilities for services, events, and community activities
• Open and close the building as required
• Support health, safety, and security procedures
• Assist with deliveries and general site upkeep

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a similar caretaking, cleaning, or maintenance role
• A trustworthy, friendly, and proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Physical ability to move furniture and equipment when required
• Respect for the needs of a diverse community
